Overview: For nearly two decades John has professionally worked with cameras, editing software and publishing software. His keen eye for setting up the unique photo, using the right lighting for the conditions to bring about the desired affect has led him to be recognized as one of the leaders in his field.
Then and Now: In his younger days, John always loved the camera and capturing both his life and the life of those around him. His parents bought him his first film camera at age 8 and the love affair began. Growing up in Livonia, Michigan, John spent a lot of time with friends exploring or taking bike trips and his camera was never far away. As a young man, John spent his summers at a resort of sorts called Burroughs Farms in Brighton, Michigan. Burroughs Farms was a community getaway for use by employees of the Burroughs Corporation. Burroughs Farms offered the nature and open atmosphere that John loves so much. With its two golf courses and access to Big Crooked and Little Crooked Lake it was a sportsman's, explorers' and photographers' paradise. It was here that John honed his skills as a photographer while exploring the many acres of untouched wilderness. It was also here where John began looking to generate unique photographs of everyday things.
